WorkshopsPippa runs creative design and shoemaking workshops, based on her commercial experience as a Footwear and Accessories Designer. She trained with Aliss as a Creative Apprentice, to gain practical experience of planning and running workshops in schools.
Creative Shoemaking WorkshopsUsing shoemaking lasts (forms) and focussing on re-using and recycling, to design, pattern-cut and make a sandal or flip-flop. Areas of Focus:o Introduction to commercial shoe design and product development

Adobe Photoshop WorkshopsCreative computer workshops where students learn how to use Adobe Photoshop (or Elements) as a design tool, in order to produce a story board and to render their hand-drawn designs with colour and scanned materials. Creating a mood board:An introduction to Photoshop layers, cropping images, opacity and applying text, and also layouts. Students gain practical experience of the skills required to create a story board and how to add text information/key words. Rendering a design:Working on their own hand drawn designs, students learn how to render them with both colour and scanned materials. They work with layers in order to develop a range of colourways to create a design presentation board. These workshops are suitable for Key Stages 3 and 4 and above, and can contribute towards National Curriculum ICT requirements. Please contact Pippa for more information.
